FM8502 is a high-precision non-isolated step-down LED constant current control chip. The chip works in critical inductor current mode and has a built-in OVP function. The Vovp voltage can be set by adjusting the resistance of the external OVP resistor. In addition, the chip ROVP leads Foot with Enable function, suitable for non-isolated step-down LED lighting and switch color applications in the full voltage range of 85VAC~264VAC.
The FM8502 chip integrates a 500V power switch, adopts high-precision sampling, compensation circuit and high-voltage JFET power supply technology, as well as patented demagnetization detection circuit and patented power supply closed-loop feedback technology, without VCC capacitors and startup resistors, and without any external compensation circuit And feedback circuit, the chip uses accurate and stable adaptive technology, which makes the system periphery very simple, and can achieve high-precision LED constant current output and excellent line voltage adjustment rate with very few peripheral components, which greatly saves System cost and volume. The FM8502 chip works in the critical mode of inductor current, and the output current does not change with the change of inductance and LED operating voltage, so as to achieve excellent load regulation.
FM8502 has multiple protection functions, including LED open/short circuit protection, chip power supply under-voltage protection, chip over-temperature adjustment, etc., which greatly increases the stability of the system.
