FM8301 is a step-down LED constant current driver chip. The chip works in the critical mode of inductor current and is suitable for non-isolated step-down LED constant current power supplies with a full range of input voltage of 85Vac~265Vac. FM8301 integrates a 500V power switch inside the chip, uses patented demagnetization detection technology and high-voltage JFET power supply technology, without VCC capacitors and startup resistors, making its peripheral devices simpler and saving peripheral costs and volume. The FM8301 chip has a built-in high-precision current sampling circuit and a patented constant current control technology to achieve high-precision LED constant current output and excellent linear adjustment rate. The chip works in critical mode of inductor current, and the output current does not change with changes in inductance and LED operating voltage, achieving excellent load regulation. FM8301 has multiple protection functions, including LED short circuit protection, chip power supply undervoltage protection, chip temperature overheating adjustment, etc. FM8301 adopts SOP7 package.
