OCP8196X is a non-isolated step-down LED constant current driver, suitable for 85VAC-265VAC full range input voltage applications. The chip adopts the working mode of constant peak turn-off and critical inductor current turn-on.
The ROVP pin of the chip has an Enable function, which is suitable for switch color adjustment and sensor light applications.
OCP8196X integrates high-voltage JFET startup and power supply circuits to speed up system startup and reduce external components, including the elimination of VCC capacitors and startup resistors.
The OCP8196X chip has a built-in high-precision current sampling circuit to achieve high-precision LED constant current output and excellent line voltage adjustment rate. The chip works in critical mode of inductor current, and the output current does not change with changes in inductance and LED operating voltage, achieving excellent load regulation.
OCP8196X has multiple protection functions, including LED short circuit protection, chip power supply undervoltage protection, external OVP, chip temperature overheating adjustment, etc.
The chip is packaged in SOP-7/DIP-7, and the operating temperature ranges from -40°C to 85°C.
